ENG vs IRE, 3rd ODI: Team news
The third and final ODI between the two teams will be played on Tuesday, with England leading 1-0. The first game was washed out without a ball being bowled, and the hosts came back to win the next game by 48 runs.
Opener Will Jacks was the Player of the Match in the second ODI, hitting 94 in 88 balls. Rehan Ahmed picked up a four-for and should be the key player in the middle overs again.
England handed out debuts to four players in the last clash: Jamie Smith, George Scrimshaw, Sam Hain and Tom Hartley, and we can expect the same side for the third ODI as well.
From Ireland, Harry Tector hit 39 runs in the last clash. He has been in stunning form in 2023, averaging 54.75 with the bat, with two hundreds and four fifties in 14 innings. Left-arm spinner George Dockrell picked up 3-43 the last time out.
Ireland named their best possible XI for the second England ODI, and they are likely to go ahead unchanged for this encounter as well.
ENG vs IRE, 3rd ODI: Predicted Playing XIs
England: Phil Salt, Will Jacks, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Sam Hains, Jamie Smith (wk), Brydon Carse, Rehan Ahmed, Tom Hartley, Matthew Potts, George Scrimshaw.

Match prediction – Today’s England-Ireland live match
Ireland showed resilience in the second ODI, getting to 286 in reply to England’s 334-8. Some useful runs from Barry McCarthy, Craig Young and Joshua Little helped keep the margin of defeat to within 50 runs, but the middle order succumbed to Rehan’s bowling. Despite a new-look team, England are still backed to win the series 2-0.
