The auction for the 17th season of the Indian Premier League is on December 19. Here’s where you can watch the IPL 2024 auction in the United Kingdom (UK), including the TV channels and live streaming details.
A total of 333 cricketers have been shortlisted for the upcoming IPL 2024 mini-auction, of which 119 are foreigners. These include 25 English cricketers who are up for grabs for the 10 franchises. The teams will bid against each other to acquire the top cricketing talents worldwide and within the country.
For the first time, an IPL auction will be held on foreign soil. While Istanbul was on the organisers’ radar to host the event, Dubai emerged as the preferred venue. Coca-Cola Arena, renowned for organising high-profile events, will host the auction on December 19.
England are the defending world champions in the T20I format, meaning teams will break the bank for English players given their utility. Harry Brook, who is back in the drawing board after being released by Sunrisers Hyderabad ahead of the auction, besides Chris Woakes, England’s Ashes 2023 hero, is expected to light up the bidding war.
Apart from the duo, seasoned campaigners like Adil Rashid, Chris Jordan, and Tymal Mills can fetch record deals since many teams need quality international bowlers to bolster their line-up.
