England will pit against Pakistan at home in a T20I series from Wednesday (May 22). However, rain looks likely to interrupt the series opener in Leeds – here are the full forecast details for ENG vs PAK 2024 1st T20I.
With the 2024 T20 World Cup fast approaching, England and Pakistan will look to finetune their combinations with a four-match T20I series against each other. The first match of the series will be played at Headingley, Leeds.
The hosts haven’t played in the format recently, having last played a T20I series in December last year against the West Indies, in which they lost by 3-2. Pakistan, meanwhile, are entering the series on the back of a 2-1 win over Ireland as a part of their UK tour.
The series also marks the much-awaited return of Jofra Archer, who hasn’t played for England since March last year due to a stress fracture. The firebrand pacer featured for Sussex’s second XI recently and is in the squad for England’s T20 World Cup title defence.
